Community development

As of January 1, 2004 the region reclaimed 5,6 hectares of land. The work was coordinated by the headquarters under the regional executive committee. The territories have been assigned to different companies and organizations.

Rural councils worked out and approved measures for every settlement, determined the terms and performers.

In 2003 the order was brought to all rural settlements; some 190 dumpsites were liquidated. The regional budgetary fund on environmental protection constructed 4 mini-grounds for garbage collection and disposal in rural settlements and 20 grounds for temporary garbage collection.

Some 8 recuperation zones with the total area of 1,3 hectares have been improved. The regional fund on environmental protection allocated Br90 million to improve 19 artesian wells and 17 cattle-breeding farms.
