Education

Zhitkovichi education system includes 15 compulsory, 9 basic, 5 elementary schools and 7 school-kindergartens. Besides, there is a boarding school for orphans and children left without parenting, one educational industrial complex, Zhitkovichi State Vocational College №182 specializing in agricultural production. The education system numbers 7,336 students.

There are some 14 infant schools for 1,300 children. The region has 2 palaces of art for 1,068 schoolchildren. Some 2,092 people work for the education system in the region; of them 1,033 are teachers, 73 per cent have university diplomas.
